It had always been on my bucket list to visit Thailand - imagine my joy when I was asked to shoot a wedding there!!
I still remember how excited I was when Megan & Dan first told me of their plans to get married in Thailand. When they confirmed that they wanted to book me to shoot their wedding, I think I had to pinch myself several times. I woke up the next morning thinking I had dreamt the whole thing. I felt incredibly lucky!
Fast forward about 12 months…
Megan and Dan got married in August 2019, on the island of Koh Phangan, in the Gulf coast of Thailand - a place they fell in love with whilst on holiday many years before. It was decided long before that it would become the place they got married.
Their wedding took place at the Beautiful Loyfa Natural Resort which was the perfect setting for the simple, stripped back vision that Megan had for an intimate beach wedding with their nearest and dearest. Megan wore a gorgeous bohemian styled wedding gown by Maggie Sottero. She has it customised slightly and also had the colour altered from a clean white to a slightly sandy coloured off white - to tie in with the natural earthy beach colours.
I am totally honoured to have had the opportunity to shoot this incredible wedding and it will remain as one of my ultimate career highlights. To be able to document the rawness of these kinds of weddings is just a huge privilege. It is an experience I will never forget.
